The 2008 Nissan Versa places the fuel filter inside the gas tank, with the fuel pump. This isn't normally something You're going to be able to, or want to, access. It's rare that You're going to have the fuel filter on Your Versa clog and start to limit the amount of fuel that enters the engine. If this does happen, though, You'll start to see Your vehicle stall out, or not start at all. Additionally, You might start hearing a sputtering sound when You're trying to accelerate. A typical diagnostic trouble code that's going to be associated with this is P0087, though there may be others as well. Costs, including parts and labor, can be anywhere between $500 and a grand to sort it out.
