The 2009 BMW 328i does not use a traditional physical dipstick in its engine. Instead, they have replaced it with an electronic gauge in the car's instrument panel, where You can check the oil levels. It is important to always check Your levels, to keep Your car running smooth. To do this with this car, turn the car on, and use the stalk on the left of the steering to move the options upward until it gets to the oil. You will know, when it shows an oil lamp symbol. Once You see this, push the button on the far left edge of the stalk inward. This will reveal the actual levels of the car. It runs from min to max. Depending on where it is, You might have to go in for an oil change or top up.
