The fuel filter in a 2009 Chevy Avalanche is located under the truck near the driver's side door on the frame rail. This filter is installed in line with the fuel lines and can be replaced easily by getting underneath the truck and unscrewing and replacing it. This filter is designed to help remove debris and particles from Your gasoline before they can reach Your fuELRail where they could cause clogs and damage. If You have lower than average fuel pressure the first thing I suggest changing is Your filter to make sure that You have gasoline flowing through Your lines completely. In general changing out Your filter is a pretty easy thing to do and should only take about a half hour.

The 2009 Chevy avalanche fuel filter is attached to the bottom of the frame on the fuel line.
