The 2009 Dodge Journey horn relay is located inside the integrated power module. You can find the IPM inside the engine compartment near the air cleaner assembly. There will be a diagram with numbers that will label the fuses inside the IPM. You can either find the diagram on the inside of the compartment or inside the owners manual. To find out if Your horn failed and needs a fuse You can use a diagnostic tool to scan the ECU to see if any errors are pulled up. Also, check the wires and use a voltage tester to check to see if there is a short in the wires which will show voltage going to the horn if there are not any problems. The main issues with the horn not working are either a bad connector, bad wire, or bad ground at the horn. Corrosion can also play a role in the damage of the wires or ground connector that will cause the horn to stop working. The fuse will be the place to check but if the fuse is not damaged and is still working, You will have to do some detective work to find out the initial cause for the horn to stop working.

There are two fuse boxes on the vehicle. The first is located under the hood, while the second is located under the dashboard below the steering wheel. The horn relay connects to the one in the dashboard.
