You'll find the EGR valve on the 2009 Hyundai Sante Fe located downstream of the throttle body at the exhaust manifold. Replacement cost is going to be about $37, for a Duralast EGR Valva, part EGR4198, from Autozone. Replacing is as simple as removing the two retaining bolts, disconnecting the clips that attach the wires from the engine harness to the valve, removing, inserting the new one, and reattaching the wires and bolts. Some of the symptoms of a failing EGR valve are going to be rough idle, increased fuel consumption, frequent stalls when idling, knocking noises from the engine, and, of course, the check engine light (CEL) illuminating with a diagnostic trouble code related to it.
