You'll find the input speed sensor on the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee located on the right side of the transmission, as part of the electrohydraulic control unit. Autozone sells a compatible part for about $26, which is cheaper than the one You'll find at Walmart, which runs about $38. For either, as You can see with the part, You simply need to unbolt it and detach the engine wiring harness, pull the old one, put in the new, and then bolt that one down, and reconnect the wiring harness. The ECU may need a couple of engine cycles to clear any of the diagnostic trouble codes thrown before it was replaced.
