Your 2009 Jeep Cherokee's spare tire is located in the rear of Your Jeep, underneath the canvas cover. It's held in with a bolt, that You can use the lug wrench included with Your Jeep to turn and release, which will then allow You to lower the tire. Of course, if You don't have a lug wrench, such as if this is a second-hand Jeep and the previous owner took it, You're going to need to improvise a bit. Additionally, if You find You don't have a spare tire at all, You can purchase a replacement kit, such as the MopaR82214063AE, which typically runs about $300.
