The 2009 Kia Borrego camshaft position sensor is located at the back of the engine, this is going to be slightly above where the starter motor meets with the engine. This is where the camshaft is located as well. The camshaft position sensor does exactly what the name would make You think it does. It measures where in the rotation the camshaft is. This information is then sent to the vehicle's ECU so that it can know when to add air, fuel, and spark to complete the detonation inside the cylinders. Usually if this sensor is starting to fail in Your car You will notice that Your engine is running very rough and it may throw a check engine light as well.
