The crankshaft position sensor is located on the bell housing at the back of the transmission on the 2009 Kia Borrego. A special note about this vehicle, but if You think the sensor is at fault because You're getting a P0025 diagnostic trouble code, that's thrown on this vehicle when You use conventional oil after having used synthetic. I know it's a weird, seemingly unrelated thing, but because it's not very intuitive, I thought I'd mention it. Typical signs of a bad crankshaft position sensor will include the Check Engine light illuminating, a vehicle that's difficult to get started, and one that once You do start it tends to stall or backfire a lot.
