The spark plug socket size in the 2009 Toyota Corolla is 9/16". To change a spark plug first life the hood of the car. You'll next need to remove the plastic cover on the motor. Remove the 10mm bolt from the coil packs which are located at the back end of the top of the motor. It is suggested that You also remove the wire and wire harness. There is a total of four coil packs. Using the 9/16" deep well socket, remove the spark plugs. When installing the new plugs You might want to apply anti-seize lubricant for easy removal on the next change. Tighten the plug by hand first then You can finish with the ratchet. Replace the coil packs and engine cover and You are done.
