The Transmission shift solenoids are located inside the valve body of Your automatic transmission. The solenoid is used to assist the transmission is shifting and if it not working then You may notice slow shifting, grinding gears, or it won't shift at all. This will make it so the car can not be driven at all, so You will need to tow it to a shop and have it fixed. If You try to drive it then You will kill Your transmission. This will cost You thousands to have fixed, so do not do this.
