The starter in Your 2010 Chevy Silverado is mounted to the lower engine block on the passenger side of the truck. You can access it through the passenger wheel well or from underneath the vehicle. You will need an 8mm, 13mm and a 14mm socket to remove the starter. Before You buy a new starter You should make sure that it is actually the cause of Your problem. In most cases a faulty battery is much more common than a bad starter. You can have the battery tested at any local auto parts store. If the battery is good and Youve checked any other part that may be the issue then You should replace the starter. Make sure to disconnect the battery completely before removing the starter.
