The 2010 Dodge Avenger with a 2.4 L engine uses a full synthetic SAE 5W-20 motor oil. The capacity for this vehicle is about 4.5 quarts so You can just grab A5 quart bottle of Your preferred brand of oil and have a little bit left over for the next oil change. You'll also need to pick up a compatible oil filter for job and something like a WIX57060 filter will cost as little as $7. Between the filter and the oil You're looking at a cost of under $40 which is probably $100 less than if You were to take it to a dealer. Change out Your oil every 6,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first, for best results. -
