You should only use oils in the x*x that meet the Audi Oil Quality Standards VW 502 00. The best viscosity to use in all climate conditions is SAE 5W-40, but if it is not available, SAE SW-40 or SAE SW-40 can be used. The oil level should be maintained between the MIN and MAX lines on the dipstick. You should check the levels of the oil at least once a week to ensure the engine is receiving proper lubrication. If it falls below the MIN mark, add just enough oil to bring it back within the range, without over filling it. After adding oil wait for at least two minutes to allow the oil to drain into the pan before checking it again.
