The 2011 Chevy Aveo's fuel filter is located in the bottom of the engine's gas tank inside the fuel pump assembly and is considered non-serviceable. The filter should not need replacing but is accessible under the rear passenger seats of the vehicle inside the tank. However, due to exposure to debris, fuel filters can become clogged, faulty and impair driving. To keep the Aveo's filter from degrading schedule oil changes at recommended intervals, or every 3,000-5,000 miles for conventional oil and every 7,500-10,000 miles or 12 months for full synthetic oil. Use the correct octane in the gas tank (regular, unleaded 87 octane) and schedule routine maintenance checkups that include emissions inspections.
