The vent valve of the 2011 Chevy Cruze works with the EVAP to manage the amount of air let into and out of the cannister and emissions control system. It is located on the EVAP cannister which is positioned under the Cruze on the passenger side of the vehicle, toward the rear and middle of the frame. It sits next to the gas tank. The EVAP can be identified as a black honeycombed part. A common problem with vent valves involves debris accumulation over time. As they become clogged it can become difficult to fill the fuel tank. Repairs include either cleaning or replacing the valve. It is also known to get stuck open, illuminating the "check engine" light.
