The 2011 Ford F-150 output shaft speed sensor is located on the passenger side of the vehicle at the back of the transmission where the driveshaft comes out of it. The sensor can be found by following the wire that goes to the top of it as it is the only sensor in this area. This sensor measures the rotational speed of Your driveshaft to help calculate the speed of the vehicle. This information is sent to the ECU where it is then sent out to the speedometer in Your truck. If Your speedometer is not working then You should check the wiring to the sensor and the sensor itself for any signs of damage that could prevent it from working.
