The 2011 Kia Rio has a crankshaft position sensor that can be found in the passenger, or left side of the engine compartment. You will need to look toward the rear of the motor, where You will find a valve cover. This will be above or close to the intake manifold. Lift the cover, and You will find the crankshaft position sensor nestled underneath. If it has gone bad, it will need to be replaced. This can cost You between $12 and $85 for parts alone. If You have it replaced by a professional, You will need to pay around $40 to $140 for labor.
