The 2011 Kia Sportage Map Sensor is located on the left, rear side of the throttle body. This is actually very simple to remove and replace: It's held to the intake manifold by two bolts, which just need to be removed, and then the wiring harness pigtail has to be disconnected. You can pick up a brand new Duralas MAP Sensor, part number SU13349, from Autozone for $83, that should be compatible with Your vehicle. Some symptoms of a bad map sensor include poor fuel economy, lack of power, failed emissions inspection, hard starting, hesitation under acceleration, and, of course, the check engine light coming on with a powertrain code indicating an issue with it.
