As the owner of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, You may have found Yourself needing to know where to locate the fuel filter in Your vehicle. It is found on the inside of the gas tank itself, which is housed in the area to the rear driver's side of Your car. If the filter is clogged or d***y, You are going to need to replace it. This will cost You between $13 and $85 for parts alone. If You were to choose having a mechanic or service tech from an automotive store complete the replacement of the filter instead, You will have to pay out an extra $50 to $120 for labor.

The fuel filter is actually located in the fuel pump housing unit. The fuel pump/filer and sending unit are basically all together in one unit. However, all 3 are available and replaceable separately if you choose to do so. The unit itself is located under the back seat and in the fuel tank.
