Do not be fooled by the specs!
I have a 2013 Elantra GT. I thought it was a great car at first...Eco-mode will destroy your engine. If you don't know much about it, it can cause increased carbon buildup. The carbon built up so bad in my car that it ended up misfiring for 6+ months because when taken to the dealer due to power surges, loss of acceleration, & rough idling, their head mechanic didn't notice this. And when I called to complain after the issue was discovered & the fact that they put in the notes that both my tail lights worked on the assessment since it was part of a recall (1 was out when I brought it in & still out when I got home). I was told it was IMPOSSIBLE for my car to be misfiring since there was no trouble codes/no check engine light on. I inquired about an issue with the ECM (computer) & was told it was impossible. Literally issue after issue after issue since then. The carbon buildup was so bad that I can't use ecomode anymore & am told it is best to use premium gas only to prevent further buildup. I got this car because I commute & the hatchback was great for my pets. Costs way too much to fill up & the miles per gallon has gone way down. Literally considering selling it before it explodes on me....DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT.

Not a 'hot hatch' but a great hatch!
On the smaller size but because of the hatchback, cargo capacity it great. Very reliable and sturdy sedan. Good pick up and enough comfortable space for up to 5 passengers. Sporty looking, good visibility and handles well in all terrains. Not a lot of horsepower or ground clearance due to it being a small sedan.

It is a nice car overall, never had any issues.
Ok for 2 door car if it is just you, not good when you have a baby hard to get a car seat in and out from the back seat. Drives smooth, it is great on gas. I have had the car for almost 6 years and haven't had to do any major work to it. Just kept regular maintenance.

Great starter car for teens.
My car runs super well. I bought it used, but I learned to drive in my mom’s Elantra. We both have one and it has not had any issues. The space is perfect for us and it is affordable too. Gas mileage is nice and it is not too big or too small. It is more spacious up front so perfect for couples or people that do not have kids, but if you are still looking for a sedan I think it’d be a good fit.

My 2013 Hyundai Elantra highlights v.
I like most things about this car. It is comfortable and it has lots of trunk space. The thing I really dislike is the “spoiler” on the back. It really interferes with my visibility. This car also has a look amount of legroom for the driver which is important since I have long legs.

Great car. The rear seat fold down detail comes in handy for large items.
No problems, good performance, good gas mileage, comfortable.Have owned Hyundai in the past and would definitely recommend to anyone in the future. The automobile has very nice looks and is quite roomy with plenty of room in the trunk. It also has a back seat that folds down to allow for more trunk room.

Tinted for Las Vegas lights.
2013 Hyundai Elantra has cruise control and comfortable ride. A/c can be a little “too cold,” so I learned it is idiosyncratic! The trunk space was roomier than I expected. The tires were standard so I did have them changed with upgraded rims. The auto tinting was one of the best to my personal opinion.

My vehicle is very nice I like it a lot.
Good reliable car. Very spacey with good gas mileage and very comfortable. It is a smooth ride and the stock audio sounds amazing. Overall I have never had an issue and would recommend for either single people or people with small family’s as I never have an issue traveling with my nephews in the back seat. Truck space is medium but good enough. Car is not fast by any means but it does not feel slow either.

Why I love my Elantra so much!
So far I have absolutely loved my Hyundai! Great gas mileage, super comfortable to ride in long distances, and extremely reliable! I have had my car for 7 years and the only thing needing replaced was my ac, but I live in phoenix so that is to be expected.

2013 Hyundai Elantra, 90,000 miles.
The 2013 is very comfortable and reliable. I have 90,000 miles on mine and have not had any significant problems other than normal wear and tear and routine replacements. Best features for me are the heated front seats and Bluetooth that connects music from phone.

Fantastic safe car with excellent gas mileage.
My Hyundai getz really good gas mileage. It is extremely reliable and has been a very nice car. The only issue that I have had with this car is a wiring issue. Also an issue with the catalytic converter. Very safe and family friendly car would highly recommend to people with kids.

2013 Hyundai Elantra review.
I love my car it is great on gas. The parts are cheap and easy to replace. I have done some work on it myself and it all turned out great. I have over 200,000 miles on my car and it still runs great. When it is time to buy again I will look at a newer version of my car.

Great car that is reliable.
I haven't had any problems with my vehicle. It runs great and has an option for eco to save gas off of the freeway. All seats are comfortable and have features such as heating and reclining. It has Bluetooth and CD player. The leather is beige and has stayed together throughout the years.

My vehicle is not too bad. I love the look, feel and the way it handles.
I have had quite a few problems with it. I have had to have the lights fixed. There is an electrical problem that has still never been resolved. It would be a very nice car if it weren't for all the issues. It is comfortable and I love driving it, when it is not in the garage being fixed.

My Hyundai is fuel efficient, handles well, surprisingly comfortable. It is sporty, well designed, and attractive. When we purchased this car I didn't think it would last that long, I was surprised that I really didn't have a lot of problems with it and it still runs great!

I call it my little turtle.
It is a small vehicle and decent on gas. You have all the daily necessities a vehicle should have. It is not good on bad weather whatsoever. The vehicle is light so it’ll get stuck in any height of snow or hydroplane through even an inch of water. The maintenance is not too expensive on it and they’re oddly durable so you have to take your good with the bad when it comes to this car.

My vehicle is a very economic car for gas.
I have no problems with my car. Economic for gas, drives smooth it is a small car so I do not recommend for a family with babies with car seats very small good for a couple with no kids. Also great for long road trips. Everything is economic with this car.

Decent midsize sedan for female.
Unfortunately I do feel every bump on the roads when driving despite having good and expensive tires on it, but overall it is a really good vehicle. Gas mileage is okay, but could be better. Have not had any major issues with this car. Not too expensive either.

2013 Hyundai Elantra perks!
I drive a black 2014 Hyundai Elantra, the car is packed with heated seats front and back, seat buttons to help adjust on driver and passenger side, very comfortable and classy black leather interior, lots of legroom for a little car! I feel very safe considering I am very close to the ground, the car has airbags all the way around to insure your safety if I wreck it to occur!

The 2013 Elantra is a very good car for a small family, very roomy backseat.
Not many recalls and seems to be reliable. Comfortable on long car rides especially with the heated seats, stereo is basic the Bluetooth does not always pick up the newer phones. And sometimes has problems seeing it. Very comfortable and roomy in the back seat as well.

4dr automatic 2013 Hyundai.
It's a 4dr sedan automatic, perfect for those long car rides the seats cradle your body. Handles very smoothly. It's ok in the snow it's a very light car I don't have snow tires but I think it would handle driving in the snow better with them. It's a very roomy car. My model personally does not have fog lights but next time would. Like it to.

Great space for such a small car - very smooth driving. Overall love it!
I recently purchased my vehicle from a previous owner that did not use it often so the mileage was low. I really enjoy the smooth riding compared to the powerful car I previously used. It is an easy car to drive and I do not have many problems with the brakes or gas. The inside is very comfortable. I would say one of the best things is the amount of space provided for such a small car. I moved into a college apartment with just one trip shoving all my stuff in the car. The only issue I have is the inability to connect an iPhone through a chord for mp3 - though it is not a dire issue. Bluetooth works just fine and phones are still able to be charged.

Hyundai Elantra 7 year review.
This car is very small and has had some problems with it. The biggest is the that the tires will get holes from the inside because the rims and the car are so low. On top of that I have had to replace the breaks a couple times and had a lot of issues with the batteries. I do really like the gas mileage it gets because I travel a lot so that has been a big help.
accountCircle Samuel K on May 26, 2021
Some bad but mostly goods.
Bads. 1. Windshield fogs up pretty easy. 2. Sound when using a phone for music is quiet. Performance. It performs pretty well, gets good mileage and gets up to speed pretty quick. It only has 2 doors so it looks pretty sporty, it is a great semi sports car for a high school to college student.

I bought the car 4 years ago and it is the best investment that I have purchased.
It is great on gas. Very economical. 4 cylinder. Comfortable to drive. Heated seats, XM radio, Bluetooth, etc. Very fuel efficient. Repairs are fairly cheap. Reliable. Compact. Great for travel. Great handling. Has eco button for greater economical fuel efficiency.

Excellent Elantra that zips around the streets and freeway.
Tire pressure issues every now and again. The car is a 4 cylinder but it drives like it has more horsepower. The handling is really good and the ride inside is smooth. I have an eco boost option which is good while driving on the freeway. The boost option improves fuel performance which saves money on the monthly gas bill.
accountCircle Angela G on May 20, 2021
Reliable. Tough little car.
It is common for the battery in the tire sensor to die at higher mileage. The tire light comes on and stays on. It does not impact anything. Just check your air pressure in your tires like you should. Be doing anyway. I have read this is common on the internet.

Review of Hyundai Elantra good gas, comfortable, good starter car.
I really enjoy this vehicle. I get very good miles to the gallon. It is very comfortable to ride. It gets me to one place to another just fine. It is a really good starter car. It has barely any miles on it for being that old. I plan on using this car until it runs out. I wish I had leather seats but that is something I can get later on in a different car. I have the most basic model without sports mode. I have four seats in my car which is good enough for me right now. I wish this car came in more colors.

Adequate small sedan with nice finishes.
Good value. The finishes are nice, but it is disappointing that there's no backup camera (they were mandated in 2014). The wheel base/ weight ratio is terrible. I have had expensive and cheap tires, but, no matter what, I get at least 2 flat tires a year. I have spent thousands on tires. I got a flat tire the first week I had the car running over a pothole that I had run over hundreds of time in my previous car.

Good gas on gas excellent gas mileage.
It is comfortable easy to drive excellent on gas. It parks easy. It is a little slow when you accelerate when you are merging into trafficking. The passenger front seat is low so I have a pillow in the last seat do people can look out and see. I personally will not be getting another one I think this make needs a lot of repairs.

Luxury feels for a bargain deal.
I call this the Cadillac of Hyundai’s. I love my Elantra limited. It has all leather interior, with heated front and back seats to help get all passengers through winter. Plus all the comfort features such as sound controls on the steering wheel, a moon roof, fog lights, etc. Performance wise, it is what I expect for a Hyundai. I have never had any major engine issues and have only needed my regular maintenance. The car is super efficient on gas and rides pretty smoothly overall.

Radio has Bluetooth function with hands free option and satellite radio.
I like the features of the car. It is roomy, sunglass holder, nice middle console, child locks for windows, dash has tire lights when tires need checked, more than one plug to charge phones, eco friendly, hands free buttons for radio on steering wheel. Only a couple negatives; car does not like gravel roads, I have to get tires checked every time I travel on them. Back seats do not fold down if I need more room in trunk.

I like the trunk space, the rear seats fold down even though it is a sedan.
This car does not really have any issues. Regular maintenance keeps the car in good shape and running well. Regularly get an oil change, new brakes and tires every few years, and possibly a new battery every few years. The car had the original battery, did not have to replace it until 2018, so it lasted 5 years.

Reliable and great beginner car.
Gets great mileage and last for a long time, I get about 30 mpg on average, even with 100,000 on the odometer. Plenty of room and ease of access, even for larger people of 6' and over. Maintenance is easy enough as well, and Hyundai parts are common so it is never a hassle.

New engine after rod thrown, fire and chaos. I still love my Elantra.
Had to have the engine replaced at 16,000 miles. Threw a rod that expelled oil on the muffler causing a fire. After having it replaced, I have not had any further issues. Maybe a tail light replacement or oil change, but that is all. Great car overall, even with the engine issue.

My super cool little car, that is not too small but it is also not very big.
It is relatively small and compared to other bigger cars it takes quite a bit of pressure to get it going on the pedal. It is not great for big families or long trips but other than that it gets the job done. It is great for just me and one other person though. If I was going to travel long distance I would rather just rent a different car. The ac works surprisingly well after all this time so that's nice too I guess.

The vehicle runs very smoothly for having a lot of miles on it. The only issue I have is that the accessories for the car were made cheap and things are falling apart. My little zippy Elantra gt.
I like my little zippy car. It is the hatchback, which I love. I especially like the back cover. It is on the small-side, but that makes it easy to get around. The car is light, and I feel a strong wind will tip it over. I worry about that on freeways. The car is not very comfortable on long car rides. I find my carpal tunnel acts up if I drive longer than 30 minutes at a time. I love the gas mileage I get on long trips, but the car could really be more comfortable. The ride is pretty smooth for a small car, but not great. The maintenance has been easy. Regular oil changes are good. One thing is that I live in the northern us and in winter the washer fluid lines quickly freeze up. Even with adding alcohol to the fluid, the line still freezes. I do not know if there is a way to fix that. Overall, this is a good car and I have been happy with it since I got it.

Handling and steering quickly became 'loose' feeling, minor electrical issues audio and Bluetooth controls on steering wheel.

Easy car for simple driving.
I drive the car locally for the most part. Really have not had any problems with car. Only routine maintenance like brakes and tires. Sometimes I don't like driving it on highway, I feel like it may blow off the road. Good gas mileage. I would recommend this car.

Reliable and safe easily taken care of.
My Hyundai is a very reliable car I have had many trouble free miles except for normal oil changes I am very pleased with it and comfortable highly recommended and I would tell anyone and everyone they will get a good reliable safe car. Excellent buy, reasonable price.

One bad thing, it is hard to see over the hood.
90,000 miles later, it stills drives like new. Very comfortable to drive.

Smooth drive, cool features.
My car is incredibly reliable. I have now had it for two years and have not had any issues with it so far. It runs smoothly and I can hardly feel any bumps in the road when I accidentally hit them. It also has the option to switch over to manual driving with the tiptronic system which is pretty cool.

It is a car that gets the job done, a great first car if I say so myself!
It takes awhile to pick up speed. I have not had any serious issues and have had the car for a little over 5 years now. One thing I really liked about the car, was how cheap it was compared to other cars that I was looking at within my price range. It is a very small car and I do wish I had more space in the back seat.

The warranty seems like it's good but it only covers a few certain things.
I like the car's fuel economy. It handles very well. It has comfortable seats. The windshield gets d***y easily.

I love my light blue Hyundai.
It is very reliable. It is no problems. It gets good gas mileage. It could be a little bit bigger. It is annoying that it did not come with spare tire but only a tire inflator that is not helpful with a hole in tire. It has heated seats that is helpful in winter. Helpful that back seat folds down to accommodates large items..

My car has been able to withstand the most sketchy drives.
My only issue is that it is a two door. Before the purchase I thought it would not have been too much of an issue. I am completely fine with its performance and have not had many issues with the car. The interior is comfortable except for long distance travel. Everything else about it is good.
accountCircle Elizabeth D on March 22, 2021
I like the size of it and the fact that it's a hatchback so I can transport things. Its fuel efficient and looks nice.
You can fit a washing machine in the back of it or a family of 4.

Great car, reliable and stylish
My Hyundai Elantra has just turned 107000 miles on the odometer. There have been no major issues. I have only needed to perform routine maintenance, this includes oil changes, tire replacement and rotation, brake pad replacement. I am pleased with how reliable my Hyundai is and how great my 2013 Elantra looks.

Elantra the pros and cons
I love the look of it and it drives great. It randomly has an issue where it won't start and we learned that this is a common problem with these cars and you have to wiggle the gear shift.
accountCircle Tkeisha S on March 20, 2021
Reliable, cool, fun, sporty.
It's a great vehicle to have honestly but definitely recommend regular maintenance. I went years with no problems but forget a oil change that took a bit of money to get fixed. Only other issue was my breaks and my tail light was recalled, I have yet to get that fixed because of the scheduling issues but I will definitely soon!
accountCircle Stephanie D on March 20, 2021
Good size car overall. Not too big and bulky, and not too small and compact.
The gas mileage is definitely the best feature of my car, followed by its Bluetooth capabilities. There are not really any complaints; if I had to change anything about it I would make the seats a little more comfortable.

Great gas mileage Hyundai
This car is great. Car has needed very little maintenance in the years I've had it. Has amazing gas mileage and is very comfortable. I love the overhead speaker for hands free phone time and fits 4 people nicely. Can has had no problems that I know of. Performs well in all weather (heat, snow and ice), is incredibly reliable. It is very comfortable and has tons of features that make this car a great buy. Excellent car for the money.

Hyundai Elantra gls 2013 second hand.
I drive this car for four months. The car was made in 2013 and, since I get it, he mileage increased from 150000 to 165000. I had no issue till now. The driving is comfortable and fuel consumption low.. I can say that price / quality is a good ratio, even for a second hand car.

Great mechanically, but could use some work in other areas.
Overall I love my Hyundai Elantra. It has been reliable and I have had no major mechanical problems. My primary complaint is about the lights, they burn out much faster than any vehicle I have owned in the past. I have replaced the tail lights about 2-3 times a year in this car, which I have read in Hyundai forums is pretty typical for this brand. Also, the silver trim on the radIo dials started chipping off when the car was only 3 years old, and recently the paint (topcoat) on the door handles and the antenna fin has bubbled and started to peel away. Mechanically and reliability wise, I love this car, but I feel they should have better quality in the lighting and paint.

I love the color and great limited edition features,
I really love this car. It is really great on gas and a awesome starter car for teenagers 16 and up. I love how it takes me where I got to go all the time and never gave me any mechanical issues and great mileage. I love that the paint has never chipped and awesome engine system. I would recommend Hyundai to family members and friends.

This car is just amazing, it's good on gas, radio control on the steering wheel.
The overall performance of the car is great it has limited features such as touch screen radio, Bluetooth, and built in GPS. The car is a push start and if the keys are taken out of the vehicle while it's on, the car will make a long constant beep. This is a very reliable car it is also good on gas only 20 bucks can almost fill up a tank. It has heated seats in the front and back seats, along with an amazing heating and cooling control system.
accountCircle Robin E on March 16, 2021
It is reliable and has a good turning ratio.
Seats are uncomfortable, there are too many blind spots, breaks could be better. Like the acceleration and handling.
accountCircle Tara R on March 16, 2021
A great and reliable gas saver.
My vehicle is great on gas and drives extremely smooth. I do a lot of driving so I fill up once a week and it takes a little under $20. I haven't had any mechanical issues at all. I would highly recommend this car to buyers. If you are looking for a reliable car this would be the one to get.

Reliable vehicle that you can count on for a long time.
This vehicle has great stereo system. Speakers really enhance the music. Brake system could be a little better and use improvement. Steering could be smoother. Overall a very durable and reliable vehicle. Dependable. Comfortable and spacious. I would buy another one after this.

Elantra is ok for the price but be ready for the repairs.
Electronic issues starting to happen at 80k miles. Good gas mileage. Thin tires so you will feel every bump. Regular maintenance highly suggested especially before 80k. Comes with a spare tire but no jack so it is pointless. Heated seats are a plus even in the back seats.

Car runs well, includes sunroof!
Hyundai is great, I bought it used so it came with a few minor problems such as the ac needing to be charged and one of my inside lights don't work. The car runs smoothly and it has a sunroof which is a plus the only major problems I am having with it now is the brakes. The brakes are not really good on Hyundai’s and if they are it will not last long, other than that I love my baby!

Elegant and comfortable vehicle.
Vehicle comfortable, easy to drive, spacious, does not use much gasoline, it's a light vehicle to drive, it offers good cargo space and roomy passenger cabin. It also earns high fuel economy numbers and its total cost of ownership is lower than some rivals.
accountCircle Gail L on March 14, 2021
Dealer nightmare to diagnose.
Fuel gauge not accurate, loads of blind spots. Goes from 30 miles left to zero. Gas tank cap does not click so service engine light stays on. Very annoying. Engine makes sputtering sounds when cold that dealers cannot or will not diagnose. Spacious and love seat heaters.

A great and economical car
Overall I have been pretty fortunate with this car. Regular upkeep and she has performed great! I've owned Foxy Roxy for almost 2 years. She has a manual transmission and a week ago replaced the original clutch. Very smooth driver and on a scale of 1-10 on gas I'd say an 8. She gets decent mileage but I know that newer models get better. I love this car and have a hard time finding anything to be unhappy about. I'd highly recommend.

My vehicle has a turbo engine which makes it go pretty fast when I want it to.
My car is a bright blue Hyundai Elantra, 2013. It is awesome. It has only a few problems. The heating core is messed up. Which leaves the car wet on the inside sometimes. But other than that it has a thermostat problem by no other issues. I love it and it has a turbo engine which makes it go pretty fast sometimes.
