The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder has a transmission fluid capacity of 10.9 quarts of fluid. Nissan recommends that You use an OEM automatic transmission fluid in Your car to help protect the gears inside of it. It is a good idea to check Your transmission fluid every time that You change the oil in Your vehicle. When You check the fluid You will want to make sure that it is full and free from debris. Usually debris will make Your transmission fluid look reflective or sparkly because it is pieces of metal that are floating inside the fluid. If You do see debris it is a good idea to flush the transmission to remove them. Leaving debris in the fluid can damage Your gears further.
