As the owner of a 2014 Ford Fusion 1.5, You may be having some issues with Your vehicle overheating. As such, You will need to locate the thermostat for an inspection. To find it, first go to the front of Your vehicle, and open the hood. It will be found inside the coolant pipe, which is situated in the area beneath the air intake pipe. This is also in the area behind the right cylinder head. If the thermostat needs to be replaced, it is going to cost You between $34 and $87 for a new one. If You choose to have it replaced by a mechanic, You are looking at paying around $60 to $150 for labor.

The thermostat and housing assembly for 2014 1.5liter is located below and slightly behind the Alternator. It can be replaced by removing the alternator then after removing the thermostat housing retaining nut remove the stud using a 12point 7/32 wrench. Takes about 1.5 hours to remove and replace thermostat. Must bleed air from engine using the bleeder valve located on top oil cooler line located at the center of the intake.

The job is definitely not an easy fix. I would give Ford an F for serviceability. However, you do NOT have to pull the manifold.
