On the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the transfer case control module (also known as the Drive Train Control Module) is located in the small compartment underneath the driver's seat. Signs that the TCCM is going bad is going to be difficulty shifting into gears, grinding noises when You do shift into gear, and Your Jeep jumping in and out of four-wheel drive. Additionally, You may hear a loud clicking or ticking sound coming from underneath the chassis. Cost wise, You can pick up a new one from Mopar for around $275; just make sure You match it with Your VIN # before purchasing.
