The 2014 Nissan Murano has a continuous variable transmission and Nissan says that You should always use Genuine Nissan CVT Fluid NS3. Mixing fluids or using anything other than this will damage Your transmission and it will not be covered under a Nissan new vehicle limited warranty. While many other manufacturers suggest changing Your CVT fluid every 30,000 to 50,000 miles, Nissan suggests doing it every 25,000 miles. This is an important part of maintenance for Your car because You never want to get too low on Your transmission fluid. It works to make sure Your transmission stays properly lubricated and doesn't overheat. -
