The recommended power steering fluid used on the 2014 Ram 3500 is MOPAR® Power Steering Fluid +4 or MOPAR® ATF+4® Automatic Transmission Fluid. Some examples of products You can use are Valvoline Full Synthetic Transmission Fluid ATF+4 or Prestone Full-Synthetic Power Steering Fluid for American Vehicles. The purpose of power steering fluid is to ease the turning of Your wheels. So, when You turn Your wheel left and right smoothly, that's Your power steering fluid doing its job. It's usually rare for power steering fluid to lower in level but when it does, it is usually because there is a leak in the system.
