The fuel filter on a 2015 Chevy Silverado is located inside of the driver's-side frame rail, between the driver's-side cab of the truck and the driver's-side rear tire. Fuel filters should be replaced every 40,000 - 80,000 miles. Here's a look at some signs of a fuel filter problem. Your engine may struggle to start, Your car may not even start at all, or You may have a rough idle. If Your car struggles to get up to speed as You drive through the city, this could be another sign that You have a partially-blocked fuel filter. Without the filter, Your fuel could end up tainted by all kinds of crud, including dirt and paint chips. Not only does the filter help to shield Your fuel pump and injectors, but it also plays a significant role in ensuring that You are achieving the highest fuel-efficiency possible.

On the 2015 Chevy silverado the fuel filter is located inside of the gas tank, on the back left of the vehicle.

My 99 GMC and 15 Chevrolet both were in the fuel tank. Cost $600 to have replaced . I wish it was on the outside of tank .
