The purge valve on Your 2015 MINI Cooper is located under the gas cap itself on this vehicle; a replacement part has the manufacturer number 13-53-7-543-285, and runs about $100 for the complete assembly. The fuel tank breathe valve allows air to enter the fuel tank to replace whatever fuel has been burned in the engine, while at the same time not allowing the vapors to get into the vents. Signs this is bad will include the check engine light (CEL) illuminating, with a code related to the EVAP system, as well as failing an emissions test, or finding that there is pressure inside of the fuel tank.
I need to replace the purge valve. Are there any videos which show how to get to this EVAP purge valve and replace it??
