It is recommended that You use FMVSS116 DOT-3 or DOT-4 brake fluid in Your 2016 Kia Forte. There isn't a big difference between the two so You should go with whichever is available to You at the time. If You get the warning light for low brake fluid then make sure You check Your levels and add more fluid until You hit the maximum mark. If the light doesn't go away then is a good chance You have a leak in Your system somewhere and it's important that You bring it to Your dealer as soon as You can. -
