For the 2016 Toyota Corolla You can either use FMVSS No.116 DOT 3 or SAEJ1703 brake fluid. These are both different types of DOT 3 and while these are the recommended ones, You will be just fine using whichever DOT 3 brake fluid You'd like. If You need to check Your brake fluid level it's very simple. Locate the reservoir along the top of the engine close to the windshield. On the side You'll notice markers for the MINImum and maximum amounts. Make sure You fill it up to that maxAmount. If it continues to drop over time it's likely You have a leak and You should try to have Your vehicle serviced as soon as You can. -
