The 2017 AudiA7 uses standard synthetic 0W-30 oil, though you can go up to as high as a 10W-40 on it. Note that Audi very specifically recommends Castrol in their document regarding this product (reference BR-14-707-US). Given that, you might want to snag Castrol - EDGE from Advance Auto Parts, part number 152B99, which usually sells for about $10 a quart. Capacity wise, you need 7.2 quarts to fully replenish the reservoir after a chance, which also includes the filter. If you're properly using a synthetic, you're going to be able to go for around 7,000 miles between oil changes, or about a year, whichever arrives sooner.

You should use a 5w-40 full synthetic oil in the 2017 audi a7.
