The hook will need to be screwed into the bumper when it is required for use to tow the vehicle properly. The front bumper on the passenger side will have an insert where You can connect the tow hook to the vehicle. There will be a cover that is hiding the connection but You can easily see it and use a flat head screwdriver to pop off the plastic covering on the bumper.
