On the 2017 Subaru Forester, You'll find the OBD-II port on the lower left of the driver's side of the cabin. Specifically, You'll need to look beneath the controls located to the left of the steering wheel, almost to the floor itself. The OBD-II port rests adjAccent to where the driver's foot would rest during normal operation of the vehicle. This is a similar location to all Subaru vehicles. Check engine lights and other diagnostic issues can be a pain, but luckily Subaru makes it simple to connect up and get Your diagnosis off the ground. If You're having problems but don't have access to an OBD-II scan tool, most major automotive part stores offer the service free of charge -- unfortunately though, they won't (or can't) clear Your codes for You.
