The 101F01 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) on the BMW 535i (also FC 28A0) translates to Throttle Valve Open, or in the long form, Throttle Valve opening angle absolute pressure intake pipe comparison pressure too high. Try saying that three times fast with a mouthful of marbles! This code is often a short circuit on the interface, and not actually a malfunction of the throttle valve. Additionally, there's a BMW technical service bulletin (TSB) regarding this: S1 B11 09 19. This fault code can appear after performing a battery reset for an unrelated repair. BMW's solution for this is to disconnect the tank ventilation (purge valve) electrical connector and then allow the engine to idle for 15 minutes. After that time, reconnect the connector, clear the fault code, and then drive the 535iAround for approximately 10 miles to ensure it's now operating correctly.

An issue with the intake pipe absolute pressure causes the BMW 535i code 1010f01.

I know from personal experience that coked inlet valves cause this. I replaced throttle motor, tank vent valve, air mass meter, manifold pressure sensor, pre throttle boost pressure sensor, engine management control unit, multiple smoke tests performed, re program of engine (before replacing the unit itself) Lots of other tests etc but only the walnut shell blast of the inlet valves done properly as per BMW instructions fixed this, I know as I did the work.
