Joseph, why you post such a BS answer? That's ridiculous, it's approximately 155 MPH.
So, due to an agreement signed between the U.S. Federal government, and Mercedes(Diamler), BMW, and a few other foreign auto makers, all cars IMPORTED are governed at 155-160. However, with a stage 1 Dinan kit, the 650 can break the governor and reach top speeds of 190-198mph.

Had a 2015 650i GC stock. Did 160 mph and had more speed left to go but ran out of road. Don’t think it can go to 198. Maybe 180.

I punched my gas at 115 mph and rocketed my 650i covertible up to 156 and could tell there was way more room had the governor been impeached, lol.
What I have learned here, is no one knows what they’re talking about. The BMW 650i gran coupe has a limiter of 155. However, when you turn the turn signal lever towards you, the vehicle lowers 1.2 inches, increases in length by 14 feet and breaks the limiter, allowing for a top speed of 345mph. A dash of creamer in the gas tank will also help keep your engine running smooth at those higher RPM’s. Hope this as helpful as all the other great answers!
You can get a tune for $500 to get the extra 66 horsepower. So what are you guys on?

Ryan, Dave C, and Michael Griffith are wrong. The 640i x drive is the one limited to 155mph. I know because I own a 2016. Get your facts straight before you tell someone they're wrong.

The top speed is 155...if you want it to go fast you have to spend another 15 grand for upgrades
