The BMW E30 has A4 lug X100mm wheel bolt pattern. This means that there are four wheel studs that are spaced 100mm apart, measured from the center of one stud to the center of the one opposite it. The studs on the E30 are 70mm long and have M12 X1.5 threads and the lug nuts have a 17mm hex head size. When tightening the lug nuts, work in a crisscross pattern. Pick one of the lugs and say its number 1, the lug diagonal from it will be number 2 and the other two will be 3 and 4. Start tightening #1, then #2, #3 and finally #4. Repeat this sequence until all lugs are torqued to 80 ft-lbs.
