The Chevy Cruze should last over 150,000 miles with proper care and maintenance done on the vehicle. The most important thing to help a car last a long time is to get all of the scheduled maintenance done. Each time that You do simple maintenance items like changing the oil You are helping Your engine last longer because the new oil will be able to protect it better. It is also a good opportunity for a mechanic to inspect Your car and make sure that there are no serious problems developing. It is always easier to repair a small problem while it develops before it becomes a big problem that requires a costly replacement.

I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze LT 6 speed. I purchased it in March of 2016 with 134,000 miles on it. I now have 264,822. My car is still going strong. I drive it every day quite a bit.I replaced the thermostat (2016), thermostat housing (2016), thermostat assembly (2017), intake manifold and cover (2018), tire monitor sensor (2019), valve purge sensor (2019), clutch (2020), water pump (2020), reservoir tank (2020), shocks (2020), front driver ABS sensor (2020), rear passenger speed sensor (2020), rotors (2020), brakes (2020), spark plugs (2020), and cv axles (2020), tension belt (2020), thermostat (2020). The shop I went to for the thermostat kept changing the thermostat and it needed the assembly instead a metal piece was broken inside causing the thermostat to go bad. After 2018 i started doing all the repairs myself. It did not need the thermostat or belt in 2020 but changed them anyway when I did the water pump because it was convenient time.I love this car and wouldn’t trade it for the world!

I have a 2013 Cruze. Nothing but problems. In the shop constantly. Coolant leaks are nonstop; no matter how many times it is brought in for repairs a new one develops. With the money I have put into it and the amount that would be charged through warranty and recalls, I would conservatively estimate $10,000 in repairs have been put in the car. I have just over 100,000 miles. The 2013 model was a replacement from Chevy because my predecessor 2011 Cruze was a complete lemon. I have zero faith in this vehicle.

I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze 1.4 litre turbowith 135,500 miles on it. The AC went out on it but other than a few minor issues it's the best car Iever owed. I don't know why Chevy stopped making them. Big mistake on their part.

I own a 2013 Chevy Cruze and I have had mine for 7 years. I can honestly say that Cruzes are Awesome cars! They are fantastic on gas, ride smoothly, are one of the best made vehicles by General Motors. My Cruze has had 3 oil leaks within the 7 years I have owned it. It has never failed emissions. To sum it all up in a nut shell I believe a Chevy Cruze will last longer than 10 years. I have heard testimonies from people who owned cruzes of reaching 400,000 miles. Staying on top of the maintenance is a must!

I got a 2016 and had to have the water pump replacement around 30,000 miles. Oil change done at the dealership for 4 year, until I got it paid for. But now at a 151,000 I need a motor cause the code p0011 keep coming on and going off when it want to. The dealership said I'm loosing oil pressure some where. Timing belt done at 100,000 miles. Then around 140,000 I had all my seals and gaskets replaced. Overall I love my car. But brand new motor with labor $6,700.

With basic maintenance and safe driving you can easily get your Chevy Cruze (automatic) to 130,000 miles or 10 years as stated above. The benefit to having a cruze is that replacement parts are affordable compared to other brands with comparable cars.

10 years or up to 100,000 miles is the standard expectancy, but this is only with regular maintenance being performed.

2011 Chevy Cruze with 392,000 miles. A lot of repairs but nothing too major, change oil a lot, recently been needing repairs often. Expect another 20-30k on it

I've a 2013 cruze with 121,000 miles, I've replaced the coolant system, thermostat, several other items. I love the 40 mpg, drive train reliability, turbo charged when in high volume traffic, reliable brakes and more features. Have thought of buying a 2019, with updates features, yet am considering a luxury malibu. I've come to understand the reliability of a chevy.
