The Chevy TrailBlazer clutch nut size iS36mm hex. This means that You will need to use a 36mm socket to be able to remove the main clutch nut. In general You will need to use a 1/2" drive socket and ratchet to get a 36mm nut off. This is because these larger bolts have more torque on them so You will need to use something that can exert more torque on it in order to break it free. If Your clutch is acting up then that can be a sign that the plates are worn inside of it and You will need to replace them. To do this You will need to remove the clutch assembly from the car.

The question is about a nut that fastens the fan clutch to the water pump. There is no way you could use a socket to remove/install this nut. You normally need two tools. One to hold the water pump pulley from turning, and one to remove the nut. You can buy specialized tools for this or use something you already have. The nut size is 36mm. The previous answer should be completely ignored as the writer either did not understand the question or knows nothing about removing a fan clutch.
