If You own a Chevy Spark, You may eventually see the code 53 appear illuminated on Your dashboard. This code means that an unusually high level of voltage has been detected. This cam be caused by several things. Some of the issues could be a faulty egr valve solenoid, overly high system voltage, a failing ecm, or a faulty voltage regulator. You may experience symptoms such as poor electrical component activity, and bad performance with the engine. You also may find that You are unable to get voltage from the alternator, or Your vehicle won't crank at all.

I just checked my owners manual for my 2019 Chevy spark and the manual says my gas cap needs to be tightened went outside to check and the cap was off
