If You drive a Chevrolet Sonic, You may run into the trouble code 59. This code is an alert that indicates the transmission fluid temperature sensor is faulty. The ecm, or vehicle computer, has detected an issue or error from the sensor, often due to high voltage output. You may also notice that Your check engine light has illuminated on Your dash. If the sensor needs to be replaced, You can expect to pay between $40 and $106 for the part. To change the sensor Yourself, first disconnect the battery in the engine bay. Next, take the cover off the transmission, and drain the radiator fluid. You will also need to drain the transmission fluid. Now, remove the bolts on the valve body cover, and pry the connector off of the sensor. Replace the sensor as needed.

Can confirm that it is related to front driver window. It acted weird when trying to roll it up, then code popped up, read Caitlin's answer above, rolled window down, then rolled window up and code went away.

Agreed on the window for code 59 for a 2018 sonic. Rolled the drivers side window all the way down then up and it's gone.

Can confirm that 59 is the driver's side window, and that 60 is the passenger's side window! Down and up and they go away!

Can confirm for a 2017 Chevy sonic that it's the window. Had issues rolling my front driver side window up, it would go up about half way and then roll back down, got it rolled up and the next time I started my car I got code 59. Did researching and found this site. Saw the comment to roll it all the way down and backup and the code cleared itself.
