On Ford vehicles, including the Ford Explorer, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0745 indicates a malfunction with pressure control solenoid A. It indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected some type of fault at the solenoid at position A (as opposed to B, C, etc). Most automatic transmissions use three solenoids, but codes P0746 - P0749 are reserved for more. If You're getting the code, the Explorer may enter limp mode, the transmission may slip or overheat, or You may experience reduced fuel economy. It typically starts out as moderate severity, but can quickly progress if not address quickly. Your transmission is not the system You want to mess with because of the extremely high replacement cost; the code necessitates the replacement of the solenoid ASAP.

The p0745 code indicates your Ford Explorer is experiencing Transmission Pressure Control Solenoid issues and you should seek diagnosis from a reliable auto repair shop.
