Depending on Your specific model year and configuration of Ford F-250, You can typically expect to pay between $450 and $600 for a DEF heater replacement. This figure includes both parts and labor, so if You're confident enough in Your abilities and know Your way around the truck, You may be able to knock a few dollars off of that price. If You' are planning to take the dive at attempt it Yourself, I was able to find some other drivers who did the same. The job should typically take around 2 hours, but can run up to 4 or 5 if You're unlucky. Note that You'll need to jack up the rear of the truck to remove the tank, which is left out of most instructional videos.

I just had one replaced in my 2013. Heritage Ford charged 125 for diagnosis, and 800 plus tax for replacement. $1000 total
