The Dodge Ram 3500employs a 9/16"-18 lug nut thread to secure the wheels to the frame of the truck. Thread size refers to the diameter of the part's shaft and the space in between the shaft's grooves or "threads". When switching out rims, the diameter of the part is crucial to finding a fit. The 3500 prior to 2019 is equipped with a lug nut pattern of 8 X165 mm and this means it useS8 nuts to secure a wheel with an inner bore diameter of 165 mm. After 2019 this pattern became 8 X200 mm. While two trucks may share the same bolt pattern, the width and the shape of the bolts might vary and prohibit interchanging rims.
