The paint code WB 156 is an incorrect paint code, and doesnt correlate to any of the shades or colors that have been a part of Fords manufacturing process. While some users report it being the black on some F-150 models, it can rarely be seen in any of Fords promotional materials. The color code can be found on the manufacturers label. This is attached to the front door panel near the driver seat and is very hard to miss. It usually runs along the side of the door. If not, Your owners manual should also contain this information. This refers to the exact shade of paint that is used to finish a car. Naturally, it plays an important role when customers wish to refinish or customize their cars.

WB 156 stands for Wheel Base of 156". The paint code on the sticker reads right right to left, so it might will look like EXT PNT: BN. BN is the paint code not the WB 156 below
The label on my 2013 F250 says paint code is WB 156

I have 2011 f250 powerstroke that's maroon with tan fenders/bottom that's a fairly common ford paint scheme. The factory color code on the sticker is wb 156.

My sticker shows WB 156, so Ford used it on my F-250 King Ranch. I can’t find the nomenclature either. Not metallic black.
