"WB 172" does not indicate a paint code for Ford vehicles; instead, You should be reading Your VIN sticker from left to right, instead of top to bottom. Under the "EXT PNT" notation, it's likely that You're seeing WB 172 -- this means that You have a 172 inch wheelbase. The exterior paint code is located to the right of the identifier, not underneath. In the rare case that You do have WB paint, this will be Ford's "performance white", also known as "frozen white" from some aftermarket manufacturers. However, this is not accompanied by a number; in fact, on later model Ford vehicles, it was done away with completely in order to remove confusion about the meaning of the VIN stickers.
