CVT fluid in the Honda Accord should be changed every 45,000 to 90,000 miles. The total fill capacity can range froM4.4 to 8 quarts depending on the transmission type (i.e., manual vs automatic). You can change it Yourself using a 3/8 breaker bar, 3/8 torque wrench, ball peen hammer, and a drain pan. You will also need a funnel and drain plug crush washer. First remove the splash shield caps on the underside of the vehicle. Then using the breaker bar, remove the drain plug bolt making sure Your pan is underneath. The bolt should be cleaned and the crush washer replaced. Replace the bolt tightening it to 36 lb-ft of torque. You can then fill the transmission with new fluid. It is recommended that You use genuine Honda transmission fluid.
