The Honda CR-V comes with a system called the Honda Maintenance Minder. It operates as a display within the dash cluster in between the speedometer and odometer. Directly above the gear select shifter, an alpha-numeric combination may appear from time to time. Receiving the maintenance code B12 actually has several messages in it. First, 'B' signifies that it is time to change the engine oil and filter. '1' means that the tires should be rotated, checked for their condition and pressure. The number '2' tells the owner that all filters need to replaced along with an inspection of the drive belt to ensure it is working properly and in good shape for continued use.

Maintenance code b12 means you need an oil and filter change, tire rotation, and replace the air cleaner element.
