The PSF-3 fluid recommended for Hyundai vehicles is an OEM power steering fluid that can be substituted with Dexron IiATF fluid in a Kia vehicle. HyundaiAcquired Kia in 1998 and both models are equipped to use Dexron II in place of PSF-3. If the PS fluid is low, steering the car or making turns may produce a high pitched whining noise. Check the PS reservoir regularly to make sure levels are topped up. A power steering pump circulates lubricants in and around steering gears and pistons to help You move the wheels with ease. It's important to never let these fluid levels drop to prevent damage to the pump and Your steering hydraulics.
