The Mazda CX7 has had some variation of battery size throughout the years. For recent model years, You'll want to go with a group size of 35, and it's recommended to use an AGM style battery. Try for at least 650 cold crank amps to give Yourself some assurance it'll start in the winter. Cost wise, You're looking at about $150 to replace it. Signs that You need to think about getting a new battery is if Yours is over 3 years old, and You've noticed that it takes a lot longer for the engine to crank when You try to start the car, as well as the battery not holding a charge (and the alternator showing no signs of issues).
