The Mercedes s65 has a top speed of 155mph, though this is electronically limited. It could be higher if the limiter was removed, but this is not legal for street driving, so make sure You know the laws before You start making changes. On a closed course the car has a 0 to 60 in about 4 seconds. This is of course under optimized conditions, such as good terrain and no water on the ground.

My 2008 S-65 is limited to 155. Gearing is such that it will reach 155 in fourth gear..... Lift off the throttle and it shifts into fifth for quiet comfortable cruising at 155. She has enough oomph when she runs into the limiter that under hard acceleration she makes 161 before the fun police pull back the power to drop back to 155.

I have an old '03 S55 AMG with only 135k miles. No wrench has been on the engine, no tune up, no plugs. It runs as good and as fast as day I got it. When I first got it, it would hit the limiter at 180 mph and the nose would drop. After 1st service, 155 was top speed. 200 mph on speedometer and before the mechanics screwed with it and w/o the limiter, this car would've done well over 200mph. It is to this day,18 yrs old, a lovely experience to drive. Will give me over 22mpg on trip.
